Bridge Taskforce

Theresa and I attended the first of the bridge task force meetings. It appeared everyone there had a vested interest in crafting the best plan for current and past employees. They are awaiting the second opinion, but just in case are crafting a replacement plan. So far they have talked about criterea. Only change was 10 years of Stafford service instead of five. They want to leave it as a seven year or when you hit full retirement. They want to make the work requirement 10 percent work for ten percent pay. They are also saying five percent work for Ten percent pay for those currently on the bridge or who are signing up this year. We have not gotten to it yet but they plan to create a list of jobs that people could choose from. They are also looking at a hardship clause for those already on the bridge who may not be able to do the work portion. If you have ideas for service you would like to share post or email them.
