My response when asked if SEA was aware of this:
Yes, we are aware and immediately tried to get the info out when we saw it on the agenda-we also spoke to it and had requested an informational session. We are now supporting the retiree group (and future retirees) through our blog and facebook page. UI do think they are within their legal if not moral rights. After hearing the complaints the school board is willing to look at possible replacement options-so we need to bring those to the meeting on the 21st. 10% pay for 15% work doesn't seem like a fair proposal. I also urge everyone to look at the changes to health benefits and give us feedback as those will also impact retirees.
