The Stafford County School Board approved FY2014
budget was developed to address ongoing financial
challenges while continuing to ensure student and staff
success. This budget includes a 7.6% total increase over
the FY2013 or current year budget. These increases are
necessary to maintain the current quality of our school
system and to meet requirements for Title IX and Special
Education. While addressing slower, but constant growth
in student enrollment and continuing to challenge each
student to reach their potential, the division continues to
face competitive pressures from neighboring school
districts. This budget contains modest attempts to remain
competitive.
